Black Jack Springs - The Build
A lot of landscaping and ground preparation had been undertaken prior to the house build itself, including the digging of the lake.
Substantial clearing of the site was required required before the first major action in the build with the pouring of a 12,000 sq ft slab supported with 105 concrete columns.
Southern Texas weather decided to interfere with the build, causing long delays and making the worksite something of a mud pit at times.
The view of the central 30' x 12' fireplace feature disguises the fact that it's location in the great room was moved 3 times during construction.
